Welcome to RescueMe!

Updated: Jul 16, 2023

We are excited to announce the creation of a new animal rescue group called Rescue Me (RM). RM is a nonprofit cat and kitten rescue group with a home base in the areas of Lantana, Argyle, Flower Mound, Highland Village, Denton and surrounding areas.

While we are a newly chartered organization, we have functioned for over 10 years under the name Animal Allies of Texas (AAT). AAT is alive and well and continues to rescue animals in the Garland and surrounding areas. So why the separation? 2022 saw big growth for the cat side as our adoptions increased by 53% over 2021 and our 2023 adoption numbers are on track to have a similar if not greater increase this year. So this is the year we decided to separate into 2 groups to more easily manage the daily operations. In the end, it’s the same volunteers you already know and even the animals are the same as Rescue Me took on approximately 65 cats and kittens that were under the AAT umbrella.

During this startup period we would really appreciate your support and donations. Monetary donations at this time would be super helpful so we’ve included a donation link. If you feel led to volunteer in any capacity, we’d love to have you join us. Cat and kitten fosters are crucial to growing and in turn extending our outreach. Links to volunteer or foster are on our website. Stay tuned and reach out to us with any questions!
